Time With The Masters
February 17 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm
|Recurring Event (See all)
Time with the Masters is like spending time with yourself…only better…because you are with both your ‘self’ and your Self! Meditating in a group for a longer (than usual) period of time gives us not only ‘alone’ time with the Masters (because it is silent, inward and intimate) but also the group energy lends us support to keep us steady in our meditation.
In this month’s Time With The Masters Meditation we will be tuning-in to Paramhansa Yogananda whose birthday is celebrated on January 5.
You are invited to join us for the whole session, 10:30am – 1:30pm. There will be a 5 minute chanting break at noon, and if you require a shorter meditation, we ask that you either enter or leave at noon. This is a guided session, no previous experience necessary.
We invite you to come early (10:10) for a guided practice of Yogananda’s Energization Exercises. These exercises help us to prepare for meditation by heightening our awareness of energy and releasing tension.
Each of the Masters is an expression of the Divine. At Ananda our lineage is represented by five Masters – Jesus Christ, Babaji-Krishna, Lahiri Mahasaya, Sri Yukteswar, and Paramhansa Yogananda. Each month we will focus on one of the Masters.
