Thanks to the generosity of people like you, we opened our doors on September 2, 2017 and the Ananda Meditation & Yoga Center came into being at 714 Ten Rod Rd, North Kingstown, Rhode Island.
From the purchase of the property in March 2017 to the opening in September of that year we were busy with needed repairs and renovations…from converting a bathroom into a closet, a kitchen into a bathroom, a storage room into a kitchen, elongating a wall, securing a dropped part of a ceiling back onto a beam, master carpentry to create a wall with a cutout for lighting at the altar, painting inside and out…insulating under the floor and more.
The grace of the Masters and your generosity helped make all that possible!
We have been joyously busy since our opening in presenting a variety of programs, such as: Meditation – Yoga Classes – Kirtan – Sunday Service – Healing Prayer Circles – Energization Workshops – Preparation for Kriya Yoga – Raja Yoga Workshop series – World Peace Prayer Circles – an upcoming three week workshop on the Chakras and …
Recently we had all the windows replaced at the Center, at the cost of $7, 000, and we have already noticed the savings in heating and the draft-free comfort. We have a remaining debt of $4,000 that we would like to clear by the end of the year.
We are a small group doing a large work for the Masters and our community. Your help is needed and very much appreciated…
