Please join us for a sacred evening honoring the anniversary dates of Lahiri Mahasaya’s Birth and Mahasamadhi  (September 30, 1828- September 26, 1895)

We will be sharing, Chanting, Sacred Music, Meditation & Flower Ceremony

David Eby and Dhuti Johnson will be leading us in chanting and sharing music on this blessed evening.

Lahiri Mahasaya was the guru of Sri Yukteswar, Yogananda’a guru, and also the guru of Yogananda’s parents.  It was to Lahiri Mahasaya that Babaji gave the ancient practice of Kriya Yoga charging him to give this technique only to ‘qualified chelas’ i.e. those who commit themselves to complete renunciation.  Lahiri asked the great Master Babaji to allow him to relax these strict requirements and permit him to “communicate Kriya to all seekers…”  Babaji agreed.  We honor Lahir Mahasaya ever in gratefulness that we may receive this great blessing, and also for his loving example of a householder life in God.
